Clinical application of transferring cryopreserved human embryos
　　【Abstract】 AIM: To study the clinical application of transferring frozenthawed embryos and to analyze the factors influencing the outcome of frozenthawed embryos transfer (FET). METHODS: Eighty FET cycles in 63 cases from September 2003 to December 2004 were analyzed retrospectively. The suppernumberary embryos obtained from in vitro fertilization (IVF) or intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI) were cryopreserved by slow freezing and rapid thawing method. RESULTS: Two hundred and sixtynine out of the 392 thawed embryos survived, with an embryo survival rate of 68.62%. The pregnancy rate was 23.75% per FET cycle.
