履歷中最普遍的錯誤就是將履歷變成一份枯燥乏味的職責(zé)責(zé)任清單。許多人甚至?xí)盟麄児镜墓ぷ魇貏t作為改善履歷的指南。創(chuàng)建一份履歷是對上述剩余部分的刪節(jié),你不該僅僅敘述必需的信息,還要說明你的每個公司的不同經(jīng)歷。要提供公司怎樣因你的表現(xiàn)而大獲其利的具體例子。當(dāng)彰顯自己的成就時,請問自己以下問題:
如何更好完成工作
你或你的團體所面臨的是怎樣的問題或挑戰(zhàn)?你是怎么樣克服困難的?你努力的結(jié)果怎么樣?公司怎樣從你的表現(xiàn)中獲利?
目標(biāo)敘述過于華麗
許多候選人在履歷的開始部分的目標(biāo)敘述時就讓人興趣寡然。最糟糕的目標(biāo)敘述一般是這樣開始的:”一個具挑戰(zhàn)性的職位不僅讓我有機會為公司做貢獻(xiàn)而且也給我以成長和進(jìn)步的機會。”這樣的敘述早已用濫掉了,而且太過平常,浪費了寶貴的履歷空間。如果你正在寫履歷,試試用小紙條來代替目標(biāo)敘述,在小紙條上你可以說說你的工作或你專長的領(lǐng)域。
篇幅過短和過長
太多的人想把他們的經(jīng)歷壓縮在一頁紙上,因為他們曾經(jīng)聽說履歷最好不要超過一頁。當(dāng)將履歷格式化地縮到一頁時,許多求職者就刪除了他們給人深刻印象的成就。反之亦然。就拿那些在履歷上用幾頁紙漫談不相干的或者冗長的經(jīng)歷的候選人來說,看的人很容易就會覺得無聊。所以,當(dāng)你寫履歷時,試著問自己:”這些陳述會讓我得到面試的機會嗎?”然后,僅僅保留那些會回答”是”的信息。
決定其篇幅的因素包括有職業(yè)、企業(yè)、工作經(jīng)歷、教育和造詣程度等等。最重要的就是,履歷中的每一個字都要能夠推銷該候選人。
