劍橋商務(wù)英語考試應(yīng)試技巧
由于英語使用許多連接詞，所以，句式結(jié)構(gòu)比較靈活多樣。但商務(wù)英語屬于正式文體，因此，它有著典型的書面英語句法特征：句子結(jié)構(gòu)較為復(fù)雜，句式規(guī)范，文體正式，尤其在商務(wù)合同協(xié)議中更是如此。請看下例：
If, whether during the execution of the works or after their completion and whether before or after the repudiation or other termination of the contract, between the Employer and the Contractor arises any dispute in connection with, or arising out of, the Contract or the execution of the works, including any disagreement by either party with any action, inaction, opinion, instruction, determination, certificate or valuation of the Engineer, the matter shall, in the first place, be referred to the Disputes Review Board.
(無論是在工程執(zhí)行過程中，還是在工程完成以后，也無論是在放棄合同或其他終止合同之前或者之后，如果業(yè)主與承包商之間出現(xiàn)任何與合同或工程執(zhí)行有關(guān)的或因合同或工程執(zhí)行而引發(fā)的爭端，包括任何一方對工程師的任何行動、不行動、意見、指示、決定、證書或評價所產(chǎn)生的異議，那么該爭端應(yīng)首先提交爭端審核委員會。)
同時，商務(wù)英語的句式結(jié)構(gòu)也趨于簡短。例如：
We hereby confirm... / This is to confirm... 茲確認……
Our firm had a bad year last year.去年我公司年景不佳。
Enclosed please find...隨函附上……，請查收。
I can't share your view on that.對此本人不敢茍同。
這些句型看似簡單，但要做到在從事國際商務(wù)活動中對這些常用句型信手拈來、應(yīng)用自如，也非易事。
