　　Whatever our hands touch -

　　We leave fingerprints!

　　On walls, on furniture

　　On Doorknobs[門把], dishes, books.

　　There’s no escape.

　　As we touch we leave our identity[身份、特性].

　　但凡所觸之物——

　　我們都會留下指紋!

　　在墻壁上、家具上

　　在門把上、餐具上、書本上。

　　無可逃避。

　　我們在觸摸式留下了自己的印記。

　　Wherever I go today

　　Help me leave heartprints!

　　Heartprints of compassion[同情]

　　Of understanding and love.

　　無論我今天要去哪里

　　請幫我留下心印!

　　憐憫的心印

　　滿懷理解和愛心。

　　Heartpints of kindness

　　And genuine[真的] concern.

　　May my heart touch a lonely neighbor

　　Or a runaway daughter

　　Or an anxious mother

　　Or perhaps an aged grandfather

　　善意的心印

　　和真摯的關心。

　　愿我的真心觸動孤獨的友鄰

　　或是一名離家的女兒

　　或是一位焦慮的母親

　　或是一位年邁的祖父。

　　Send me out today

　　To leave heartprints.

　　And if someone should say,

　　“I felt your touch,”

　　May they also sense the love

　　That is deep within my heart.

　　今日讓我外出

　　留下心印一串。

　　如果有人說

　　“我感覺到你的觸碰”，

　　愿他們從中感受愛

　　那份深藏在我心中的愛。
