英語課前演講稿：The Nobel Prize in Literature

　　Almost everybody knows what this medal is.

　　Yes ,it is the medal of Nobel Prize.

　　Today I want to tell you something about the Nobel Prize in Literature.

　　As we all know, the prize was set up to reward those people who created the best works.

　　These works have a tendency to ideal.

　　The 2014 Nobel Prize winner is the French writer, Patrick Modiano. He writes a lot of novels about the second world war. So his writings always have a dark color.

　　Except the novelist, the poet, Tomas Transtr?mer, won the 2011 Nobel Prize. He only published about 200 poems, but all of them, without exception, are the pearl of the literature.

　　Mo Yan is the person who have to be mentioned. He is a Chinese writer.He is described as a story teller,because the prototype of his novels always came from the times he has experienced. I think the literature is as important as physics and chemistry. As physics and chemistry creat the Material wealth, the literature is our spiritual wealth.Maybe this is why Nobel establish such a prize at first,because the literature is the best medicine to save ourselves and to promote ourselves.ideal is not a day dreaming,it is a kind of eager to do the things we really want to do.Nowadays, we are sorry to hear that more and more young people lose their interest to explore or to risk, and they only need is a stable and high-paid job.ln my opinion,this is not a right attitude towards the world.Every one should have a colorful life and i hope more and more Chinese writings can hve this honor! Thank you.
